SQL Support Analyst in Dallas, TX

This SQL Data Analyst position will support both internal and external customers when they need help with the application widely used by our client. The SQL Data Analyst will support internal and external users, approximately 200. The SQL Data Analyst is responsible for troubleshooting the proprietary application suite of products and identify and document issues for the knowledge base. Each candidate for the SQL Data Analyst position will be performing advanced monitoring of the system and reporting system status. The SQL Data Analyst will identify defects in application, provide suggestions and resolve customer issues with short term workarounds if needed. The SQL Data Analyst will provide superior customer experience both written and orally. The individual also replicates and validates issues and either resolves or assigns / communicates to applicable team to resolve and works with the user community to determine the best solution to help resolve customer problems. The SQL Data Analyst will establish positive working relationships with Operations team to provide next level of support of business needs. <br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: If you are interested in the SQL Data Analyst position, you need to have a strong understanding of web based technologies and principles (Java, Swing client, etc) and a strong understanding of Network principles and technologies (TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, VPN, wireless etc.). The ideal candidate for the SQL Data Analyst position will have: Strong customer service skills, pragmatic problem solving skills, ability to work with little or no supervision, effective communication with all levels of the organization and customer base and follows procedures and recommends process improvement. The SQL Data Analyst will also maintain focus on details and can deliver accurate work and should be able to handle stressful situations appropriately. This person must be a self starter and team player and be "big picture" oriented. Ability to relate issues with key customer impacts is vital. As far as credentials, MCSA, MCSE, MCTS or MCP is required. Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent technical experience required. Also, we are looking for a minimum of 5+ years troubleshooting skills &#150; needs to be able to troubleshoot problems with minimal direction. We also need a minimum of 3+ years research skills &#150; needs to be able to find answers for questions that are not apparent and PL/SQL or SQL Server or Oracle experience. 2+ years java programming, 1+ year XML, HTML experience and 1+ years Weblogic knowledge is desired, but not required. Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must along with strong documentation skills. Logistics, distribution or supply chain experience a plus.
