ACS is currently seeking a Manager, Strategic Software Contracts. This position is responsible for the management of a team of Software Contracts Managers who draft, review, negotiate and manage complex software license and related agreements within the Contracts and Business Management Group.
Reporting to the Director, Software Contract Management, the successful candidate should be comfortable supervising and managing staff, working with attorneys, clients (internal and external), and software vendors to identify critical issues and negotiate terms and conditions for the licensing of newly acquired software on behalf of ACS as well as for the benefit of its external clients. The successful candidate will provide guidance and assistance to the Software Contracts Managers in their efforts related to assessing licensing requirements and contractual obligations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Supervise and manage a team of Software Contracts Managers in the drafting and negotiating of business terms and conditions for licensing of newly acquired software on behalf of external/internal client requests.
Ensure accuracy of license agreements and completion of license agreements in order to meet internal deadlines as well as deadlines of clients.
Review existing licenses and other documentation to assess licensing requirements and contractual obligations for new/existing clients.
Responsible for reporting updated status of multiple projects.
Review, critique and edit the work of subordinates; act as mentor and guide in process improvement and skill enhancement
Supervise and monitor workload/projects assigned to negotiators.
Act as the point of contact regarding research and assistance for the department (would include assistance with negotiation and review of agreements, providing guidance as necessary).
Manage a variety of complex transactions simultaneously in a time sensitive environment

Education and Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, 6 + years of software licensing negotiations or commensurate experience; previous management experience desired
Necessary Skills/Attributes:
Interpret and comprehend technical terminology in order to negotiate the best of class terms and enhanced rights for software usage
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, verbally and in writing
Project strong interpersonal, organizational and team building skills
Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to adhere to and support departmental and team guidelines and policies
Diplomacy when working with internal and external clients as well as third-party vendors and suppliers
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet research
Strong negotiation abilities and attention to detail
Proven leadership ability and motivational skills
Result-oriented; able to work in fast-paced, global environment
Self motivated and independent/strategic thinker
