Technical Architect in Dallas, TX

For this position, you will work with Technology stakeholders, business analysts, and interface designers in order to maintain a consistent view of the enterprise-wide technology solutions in accordance with the overall business objectives of this company that provides information processing services, including data processing outsourcing.
Your responsibilities will include:
Defining and documenting the technical architecture and providing effort and cost estimates
Ensuring compliance on all internal and external technology service providers
Enforcing consistent policies, principles, and portfolio management
Recommending emerging technologies that have the potential for significant future business results
Advising on architectural tactics, opportunities for process improvement, risk exposures, and architectural enhancements
Ensuring adherence to enterprise-wide technology/architectural standards and policies
Ensuring that all technology outsourcing partners manage the technology implementation in accordance with the established technical/architectural policies and guiding principles
Translating complex business and application requirements into technical architectures
Managing change from conception to completion
Producing high-level designs, architectural blueprints, and technical documentation
Implementing prototypes in order to validate proposed technical architectures
Participating in Joint Application Development sessions with technology partners and customers
Mentoring Solution Architects and Application Developers in the use of technologies, architectural plans, and best practices
Communicating with Application Developers to provide a clear understanding of the architectural objectives and required technologies associated with a particular technical design

Experience: 5+ years related work experience
Proficient in ASP.NET, C#.NET, ASP 3.0, Server-side JavaScript, VB, and C++
Experience designing and developing Web Services and Services-Oriented Architectures (SOA)
Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML)
Experience developing applications using Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0 and SQL Server 2005
Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Knowledge of Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Content Management System (LCMS)
Bachelors degree in a related field
Knowledge of the e-learning industry is preferred
