Our client is upgrading its Oracle Applications ERP environment from R11 to EBS R12. A majority of their corporate reporting environment utilizes Business Objects. As part of the conversion/upgrade process, this client needs someone to re-map the Business Objects reports and environment to access the EBS R12 implementation. This effort includes: re-designing the Business Objects Architecture, infrastructure, and development of the Business Objects Universe and reporting interfaces. Candidate will also be responsible for developing ad hoc reporting areas. In this role, Candidate will be deploying multiple reporting applications to create business advantage. Candidate must have 'hands-on' experience in architecting, Business Objects reports, WebIntelligence, designing and creating centralized access control security architecture. Additionally, Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to organize documents on the repository. By utilizing Business Objects supervisors, Candidate must be skilled in creating categories for end-users. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES . Evaluate current state of client analytics capabilities;. Build strategy/vision for client analytics/MDM working with senior leadership to shape objectives and gain support based on leading edge information and innovative solutions;. Define the plan to attain the vision - properly set up and grow the analytics environment including infrastructure/platform, tools, resources, staff, project prioritization based on value, input for future development initiatives, funding, etc.;. Build credibility early and on an on-going basis to garner support and gain approval of client constituents;. Lead the charge toward the vision * internally and externally to make it happen;. Provide leadership and strategic direction to internal resources, working closely with client staff. Develop and maintain positive relationships with the clients;. Experience: Minimum Technical Skills: - 7+ years Information Technology experience. - 4+ years Business Objects (XI preferred) development and implementation experience, including building a flexible reporting environment, utilizing Business Objects Protocols, Business Objects, Supervisor, Publishing Business Objects Reports, and Universes. - Business Objects Web Intelligence (Webi)- Exposure to Oracle Applications ERP R11 (Modules: GL, AR, AP, FA, etc.)- Solid SQL Programming Experience.Desired skills: - Previous Business Objects reporting experience accessing Oracle Applications;- Knowledge of Consumer and/or Retail experience. Non Tech skills: Excellent communication, written, and presentation. Education / Certification Requirements:. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Business Administration. Computer Sciences, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
