Our client, an a leading provider of POS systems to the hospitality and retail industries, is in need of a Support Technician to ensure their client satisfaction by providing solutions to incoming problems in a timely and effective manner. Candidate's responsibilities will include but are not limited to:.Serve as a Customer Advocate and provide satisfaction by maintaining a proactive approach with clients.Record the client problems in detail as required.Investigate and resolve client calls and take ownership for resolving their issues from case logging through management of escalation or resolution.Respond to client cases and field inquiries in a timely and effective manner by answering known questions and reproducing straightforward technical problems.Utilize tools provided and other documentation as necessary in resolving technical issues or reproducing problem cases.Use internal experts to resolve issues when necessary.Effectively use escalation procedures as necessary.Learn new products and diagnostic tools and share knowledge with others; provide feedback on product and/or process initiatives developed in other areasOther job related duties as assigned Candidate must have an Associates degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience. Two or more years experience in hardware and software troubleshooting, analysis and resolution. Must have the ability to solve a wide range of technical problems of moderate complexity. Industry related certification preferred; A+ or Net +. Prior experience in the hospitality industry is a huge plus. Candidate must have a stable work history and impeccable attendance along with strong oral and written communication skills.
