Our client is looking for a Vendor Manager who will execute an assortment of performance, contract, and relationship management duties. This interaction will be with vendors who distribute IT hardware and software products, as well as technology services. This position will focus on a group of vendors concentrated in various disciplines and be responsible for coordinating the needs of IT product users, owners, and ITS Service Catalog with the offerings of these vendors.<br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: Job Responsibilities:
Maintain associations with and monitor the performance of IT vendors utilized for the delivery of outsourced services.
Negotiation of hardware and software product terms/conditions to achieve cost efficiency.
Negotiation of technology service terms and conditions for optimal cost efficiencies.
Interaction with vendors and product owners to appraise vendor of company needs and reviewing vendor performance.
Performance of spending/cost breakdowns to conceptualize cost efficiency solutions for current and future contracts.
Conduct support and training of vendors.
Performance of contractual compliance audits while working closely with company Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, Asset Management, Risk, Procurement/Purchasing, Compliance, and Product Platform departments.
Manage the financial and financial risk implications of vendor relationships and contracts.
Development of complex methodology and evaluation criteria to assess vendor score and KPI.
Perform as the Lead for different vendor management projects.
Act as mentor and primary escalation point for the team.
Performance of training initiatives relating to vendor management.
Provide technology roadmap to the team that was laid out by ITS Architects within the company.
Development of Inventory Control Processes for software, services, and hardware.
Evaluation of MSA (master service agreements), SOW (statements of work), and contracts in accordance with ITS standards and protections.
Management and review of Vendor Management SharePoint site to ensure that information is current.
Communication of Vendor Management trends and results to management, while recording savings achieved in initiative implemented.
Creation of plans that indicate how the Vendor Management team will achieve ITS’s service needs, including management of the timetable for deliverables and specific contract goals.
Provide sufficient communication to various departments in regards to Vendor Management initiatives and plans.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Equivalent technical training and experience can be substituted for degree.
ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) experience highly preferred.
Priority will be given to individuals with CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager), CTPE (Certified Technology Procurement Executive), APP (Accredited Purchasing Practitioner), and/or CTPS (Certified Technology Procurement Specialist) certifications.
8+ years of experience in vendor relationship management, contract administration, and/or management of assets in a technology atmosphere.
Prior technical experience required
Extensive Project Management experience
In-depth knowledge of IT vendor and service organizations
Vendor Management experience within Project Management methodologies, with prior experience in contract negotiation and management of third-party vendors.
