Field Implementation Tech in Dallas, TX

This position is responsible for the installation, training and service of various company connectivity solutions. As an installer the candidate should expect to spend 90% of the time on site at physician offices, Clinics and hospitals.

The Field Service Implementation Technician must be capable of working independently while performing onsite visits to complete installation, training and service for numerous proprietary connectivity products. The Installer has direct face-to-face interaction with the client and must be able to communicate in a clear and professional manner. Patience is a must with the ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude in stressful situations while multitasking to handle simple and complex issues as they present themselves. The Implementation Technician is responsible for:
. Onsite installation, training and service of various connectivity products which include complete computer systems (CPU, keyboard & mouse), printers, modems, monitors, routers and Bridge solutions.
. Establish connectivity via dial-up modem, DSL, or Cable modem
. Configure router (if applicable) with filters and usernames and passwords using hyperterminal
. Effectively train the clients technical and non-technical staff on all Quest Diagnostics Connectivity Solutions.
. May be asked to act as a liaison between client and application support on software issues and to involve neccessary parties in the resolution of application bugs.
. Effective verbal and written communications with technical and non-technical individuals
. Must maintain quality productivity and Implementation Tech Gold Standards Metrics
. Must assist with ensuring that all Asset Management Processes and Procedures are consistently being followed



Experience: This position requires:
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
. Customer Service experience
. A+ certification desired
. 0-2 year PC technician experience
. Basic Networking knowledge
. Knowledge of modems, DSL and cable ISP services
. Windows 95 and later OS knowledge and troubleshooting ability
. Experience with Web Applications
. Excellent administrative type time management, follow-up and organizational skills
. 90% regional travel required
. Ability to lift computer equipment and related hardware up to 75 pounds
. Clean driving record in accordance with local Business Unit policies
. Valid Diver's License

Must be able to pass a 7 year criminal background investigation and a drug test.
