I have an immediate Director of IT Systems Development permanent position open; my client wants to fill this position immediately. You will have full personnel responsibility for a staff of 10 to 15+ IT Applications Systems Development professionals, and an annual budget of up to $1,000,000+. You must have previous hands-on Manufacturing Systems Development experience including strong understanding of Order-to-Cash process. You must have 5+ years of recent IT Management experience including AS400 RPG DB2 MS Windows 2003 .NET VB SQL Server etc. You will report to the CIO. Dallas TX area candidates preferred; you will travel up to 25% to other corporate installations.
The Director, Systems Development, is responsible for the overall development and support of business applications as well as the direct management of the IT professionals in the Systems Development team:
Manage the day to day activities of the application development team (staff of 10 to 15 professionals)
Perform the appropriate tasks to plan, control and communicate project timelines and activities
Manage assigned projects to both the budget and timeline (budget responsibilities to $1,000,000+)
Work closely with the end user groups to ensure the application being developed or supported adheres to the functional specifications
Create weekly status reports, with detail accomplishments, issues, and plans
Become the Subject Matter Expert on supported applications
Conduct annual reviews of IT professionals
Assume the role of mentor to members of the team
This position includes the following:
