At least 4 years background in MS SQL 2000 database, DTS and SQL stored procedure development.
At least 3 years of experience supporting and/or installing applications on a Windows 2000 Server.
Strong understanding of Database administration and software application support, with proficiency in data modeling.
Understanding and experience in relational and dimensional modeling
Good understanding of PC and infrastructure based.
Good working knowledge of classical project management methodologies with a capacity to develop next steps with little direct supervision.
Proficiency in database management tools like SQL Enterprise, Query Analyzer, Erwin and Visio.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, etc.

Experience: Installation and administration of MS SQL Server 2000 databases on MS Windows 2000/2003 servers in a multiple database server, high availability environment.
Management & creation of databases, schemas, tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, and declarative integrity constraints.
Monitor databases for resource utilization. Initiate corrective action to ensure all database servers meet processing requirements for performance and reliability.
Create and maintain replicated databases over the local LAN and WAN.
Backup and Recovery (Policy, Process and Operation)
Database Archiving (Policy, Process and Operation)
Perform weekly on-call rotation for production operations and other environments.
Translate a logical model into the physical database design
Monitor data quality
Create proactive monitoring and preventative action systems to avoid outages
Work with consulting or internal resources on development activities
Establish and manage productive relationships with product and consulting vendors
This position may have up to 10 percent travel.
Other Favorable Skills:
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) SQL Server certification is a plus.
Familiar with Microsofts Analysis Server and Reporting Services
Exposure to other development languages and applications such as Crystal Reports, VB.Net, ASP.Net, and HTML is a plus.
