I have an immediate Director of IT Infrastructure permanent position open; my client wants to fill this position immediately. You will have full personnel responsibility for a staff of 8 to 12+ IT Systems Engineers / Administrators and Network Engineers, and an annual budget of up to $1,000,000+. You must have previous hands-on IT Infrastructure experience, and 5+ years of recent IT Management experience including Networks / Communications AS400 RPG DB2 MS Windows 2003 .NET VB SQL Server configuration, implementation, and support. You will report to the CIO. Dallas TX area candidates preferred; you will travel up to 25% to other corporate installations.
The Director IT Infrastructure is responsible for the technical infrastructure necessary to support all business processes and applications systems, as well as providing leadership, project planning, and architectural direction that ensures the infrastructure and supporting systems are reliable and scalable:
Manage the day-to-day activities of the IT Infrastructure team(staff of 8 to 12+ professionals)
Perform the appropriate tasks to plan, control and communicate department objectives, project timelines, and activities including creation of weekly status reports (annual budget of $1,000,000+)
Provide direct oversight of the hosted data center assuring a complete disaster recovery solution is in place and tested on a quarterly basis.
Manage enterprise infrastructure including voice and data networks across the WAN, as well as wireless.
Manage vendor relationships for all Infrastructure components and ensure high availability with strict adherence to SLAs.
Oversee second level support of personal computers, laptops, printers, and LAN at remote locations.
Develop and implement plans to proactively manage infrastructure including developing standardization plans, management plans, and technology refresh plans
Provide centralized, customer focused help desk function for timely resolution of issues including weekly management of action plans to resolve top issues
Conduct annual reviews of IT professionals
Assume the role of mentor to members of the team
This position includes the following:
