UNIX Administrator III in Dallas, TX

Scope of work:

. 8 or more years of experience.
. Management and maintenance of systems and hardware in a UNIX environment.
. Installs UNIX operating systems, updates operating systems, and applies patches.
. Experience in administration of NAS (NFS v3, NetApp Data on Tap)
. Solaris and Linux (RHEL flavor) as well as a level of experience scripting expected of a Sr. UNIX admin (should be able to do some bourne, perl scripting)
. Experience with parallel file system technologies (Lustre) would be a definite plus.
. The person would execute test procedures, understand and document results as well as potentially help with scripting some tests.
. It would be very helpful to have Platform LSF experience as well as experience with general IT benchmarking and performance (I/O, networking, storage).
. Perform hardware configuration and modifications, system capacity planning and management, storage management on NAS filers, and manages user requests for service.
. A strong understanding of UNIX, networking NFS, large scale NFS environments and some ability to shell script are critical.
. Ability to work very well in world wide teams is also critical.
