IT Communications Manager in Dallas, TX

Our Dallas client is looking for an IT Communications Manager. This individual will oversee infrastructure-related administration, troubleshooting and resolution efforts for all network related communication technologies, including voice, data, wireless, MPLS, and VOIP technologies. Identify, track and bring to resolution network degradation issues. Support on-going and new IT initiatives. Recommend and coordinate installation of new and upgrade existing circuits based upon business requirements. Recommend new technologies and best practices. Effectively manage multiple tasks and projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may also be assigned. Monitor overall network performance and recommend maintenance/upgrades when needed to maintain acceptable response times. Handle infrastructure-related troubleshooting initiatives through resolution and escalate in a timely manner when applicable. Implement and maintain VOIP technology. Implement and maintain MPLS technology. Evaluate, recommend, and support wireless technologies for the organization. Recommend and oversee implementation of new and upgraded circuits. Analyze and recommend changes needed to support the voice and data infrastructure. Manage voice and data line costs to budget Produce scheduled and ad-hoc statistics related to network performance. Research and recommend newer technologies and best practices to support the organization. Communicate with- and present to business users. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience: College education preferred. Related job experience may qualify. BS in Telephony or Network Engineering/Design. Related field experience of 5 plus years is a plus. Certificates and Licenses: Cisco certifications a plus. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position may require leading and directing the work of others.
