The BearingPoint [Manage Services Team] is currently searching for Systems Engineer to support our monitoring and ticketing platform

Performance Profile:
. Work with our operations team in designing, implementing and maintaining a monitoring environment for multiple servers, applications and databases.
. Primary monitoring tools will be HP Openview and BMC Patrol, but all products in the HP suite and BMC suite will be utilized including, but not limited to HP Reporter, HP Internet Services, HP Service Desk, HP Performance, BMC Service Reporting, BMC Patrol Express and BMC Central and Web Console.
. Work with development and operations team to develop custom monitoring solutions using HP Openview and BMC Patrol for various applications and databases.
. Work with the support teams and help desk to design, implement and maintain custom project and ticket management solutions within HP Service Desk
. Work with our partners to implement and maintain custom integrations into HP Service Desk, Openview and BMC Patrol
- The candidate will need to interact directly with engagement teams to identify monitoring and ticketing requirements, estimate level of effort, and manage their time appropriately to meet engagement deliverable dates
Position-specific Requirements:
Candidate should have experience with HP Openview and/or BMC Patrol suite of monitoring products.
. Candidate should have experience in the development of custom monitoring using HP Openview and/or BMC Patrol.
. Candidate should have experience with application and database monitoring using HP Openview SPIs and/or BMC Patrol KMs.
. Candidate should have experience with managing a large HP Service Desk implementation.
. Candidate should have experience with integration of all HP and/or BMC monitoring tools as well as HP Service Desk.
. Candidate should understand the importance of a structured and controlled production environment.
. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal skills. Client-facing experience is a plus.
. Candidate must be self-motivated and assertive while possessing the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a team environment.
. Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or any related field and at least 5 years related monitoring experience
