Our Dallas area client, located at the border of Dallas, Plano and Richardson (right off George Bush Turnpike and Independence/Waterview exit) is looking for a Excelergy Platform Manager.
Responsibilities: Assemble system development and software integration project team(s), assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and monitor progress towards a timely completion of the project(s). Collaborate with program and project managers to develop and direct detailed plans and schedules using input from team leads and SMEs; monitor and mentor individual developer. progress according to plan; ensure workplan and designed solution addresses scope, approach, technical architecture and inter-team dependencies. Institute operational best practices for all business processes. Work to continually refine & improve. Insure that all batch scheduling and file movement jobs are tightly monitored with full logging, audit trails, and dashboard reporting. Establish metrics and track and report trends through these metrics on a monthly basis. Utilize and establish best practices in Quality Control and Quality Assurance. Direct work to internal and vendor system development teams. Collaborate with client specific project teams and program management to work through interdependencies; direct third-party vendor staff. Interface directly with business and operation teams for gathering of requirements, sign-off on design and approval of acceptance testing of developed solution. Ensure effective flow of communication between management, users and associates on the program/project team. Facilitate and drive issue/ risk management processes. Develop staff through mentoring, performance reviews, provision of input into annual processing, and corrective action. Ensuring all deliverables quality metrics and milestone dates are clear and met while managing budget. Provide project/program management estimates for development and explanation of solution required to address change orders for client or third-party vendors Assist with time and expense tracking
Specific Skills/Tools: Min. of 10 years dev. management exp. in consumer billing and customer care arena. Excelergy platform management exp. preferred. Strong people facilitation skills, excellent business writing skills and a proven track record in meeting/exceeding stated deadlines and milestones required. Must have a demonstrated ability to successfully manage software dev. projects utilizing full project lifecycle methodology. Exp. in dev. and reporting of software related metrics to be used for baseline and continuous improvement efforts. Experience in working w/outsource and/or offshore dev. organizations. Possess strong decision making skills for problem identification and solution recommendation. Possess written and oral comm. skills to prepare and communicate programming plans and procedures as well as to interact with all levels within the client, project, and consulting services organization. Strong understanding of the deregulated Utility market. Willingness to travel as needed. Relocation to core Utility office is required. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Preferred Skills Exp. managing apps developed to support customer care centers (user interface, IVR, CTI, etc.) General retail utility industry experience ERCOT knowledge Direct exp. w/the commercial CIS products (Excelergy, SPL, Peoplesoft CIS, SAP CSS, Indus Banner) Operational experience in application management Exp. managing application development in Microsoft application environments including C# development and .net framework. Exp. managing apps interacting with an Oracle DBMS. Exp. managing system integration projects.
