Senior Unix-AIX Systems Administrator in Dallas, TX

Are you an experienced Unix Systems Administrator with strong AIX and HACMP skills?

Are you looking to work with an international industry leader?

Our client is looking for a consultant to join their team on a short-term basis to assist with the: planning, configuration, installation and administration of Unix-based systems in a global environment.

Responsibilities:

* Has overall responsibility for high-availability (HACMP) implementation and disaster recovery planning using synchronous disk copies.

* Ensures that UNIX based systems adhere to regional and global architecture and security standards.

Requirements:

* Administration of HA/CMP and disaster recovery strategies. Responsiblefor ensuring that procedures are in place to ensure that changes are made in accordance with HA standards. Ensures that full data copies are kept at the hot site. Maintains DR documentation and coordinates both HA and disaster recovery tests.

* Performs AIX UNIX system installations and upgrades for project related work. Plans and leads maintenance release implementations across the landscape. Reviews performance monitoring and tuning information to ensure that systems are performing according to standards

* Excellent IBM SAN and storage skills required. Experience with IBM 2105.

* ESS and IBM 2109 switches.
