Systems Engineer-MQ in Dallas, TX

3-5 years experience administering messaging middleware software, preferably Tibco EMS or IBM MQSeries
3-5 years hands on Unix administration experience in a production environment
3-5 years hands on Unix administration experience in a production environment
Solid experience with system monitoring and management tools
Experience in designing and implementing messaging monitoring solutions
Knowledge of additional Middleware layers (Webmethods, TIBCO ESB, Sonic ESB, etc)


Non Technical Skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage large scale project plans, meet timelines, communicate effectively with both project teams and executive level audiences, develo processes and procedures, and develop solutions to complex business and technical challenges.

Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication skills


Nice to have skills

Technical
3-5 years engineering experience with a J2EE (Java) application server (preferably Websphere) and/or Corba application server (preferably Iona Orbix)
Experience installing and managing these products in a Unix or Linux environment
Apache administration skills
Experience with Oracle database
Proven experience using WebSphere Appliction Server Development Studio (WSAD) or Eclipse
Working knowledge of enterprise web applications and supporting technologies, such as firewalls/routing/load balancing, etc.
Knowledge of enterprise security technologies and their implementation

Non Technical Skills and responsibilities

Administer both IBM MQSeries legacy environment and growing Tibco EMS environment. Part of a 4 person Team that carries an on call pager once every 4 weeks. Responsible for creating new queues/topics, installation of messaging software on various platforms, managing alerts and monitoring software, and working with development Teams to integrate messaging software into their application.
