Network Analyst for Design, Implementation, and Support in DALLAS, TX

Our client is seeking a Network Analyst who will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of their Wide Area Networks. The Network Analyst will Design networking solutions for facilities, including corporate and remote sites, using best practices for redundancy, availability and cost efficiency; will configure, installs and supports network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc). The Network Analyst determines appropriate hardware configurations for equipment acquisitions, works with other IT and technical groups to troubleshoot and resolves network and application availability and performance problems during business hours and on a rotational 24x7 on-call basis, uses real-time and statistical tools to monitor and report network performance, analyze trends and make recommendations for changes, develops and documents policies and standards for network systems, to include wiring, equipment, network security, performance, monitoring, reporting, and routing protocols, develops and documents operational procedures for supported systems, including implementation processes, troubleshooting and support procedures. The Network Analyst provides planning, leadership, direction, training, and advanced technical expertise regarding network services for both local and wide area networks, and the Internet; serves as high-level technical expert in regards to computer/network systems and associated issues, maintains a broad knowledge of current and emerging state-of-the-art computer/network systems technologies, architectures, and products, evaluates new technologies and makes recommendations to management for implementation. The Network Analyst serves as a technical point of contact for vendor relationships.<br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: The Network Analyst must have extensive experience with Cisco routers (7206,3640,2851), switches (6509, 4506, 3750) and IOS software, in-depth understanding of the following technology: VPN, TACACS, VoIP, including cabling infrastructure, advance understanding of network analysis and monitoring tools such as Sniffer, LAN Analyzers and various statistical reporting tools, a good working knowledge of WAN technologies including MPLS, Frame Relay, VSat & DSL provisioning and performance monitoring. The Network Analyst must have advanced understanding of network authentication and security tools, such as Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Cisco TACACS, and Radius authentication, experience dealing with Telcos, Long-Haul carriers and ISP's, experience with Microsoft Networking Infrastructure (DNS, DHCP, WINS, Active Directory) and Operating Systems (Windows 2000, XP, NT), have the ability to manage large scale infrastructure projects, have strong verbal and written communication skills. The Network Analyst must have Cisco Certifications - CCNP, CCDP, CCNA or higher-level certification, 5+ years experience in a medium to large enterprise Cisco-based Network technical position, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
