This position is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and back-up recovery, including disaster recovery, of strategic physical database environments.
Install, configure, and monitor SQL Server 2000 and 2005 instances on multiple Servers and Clusters.
Manage user access in compliance with HIPAA and ANSI security requirements.
Monitor SQL Server patch compliance. Plan and install SQL Server Patches and critical fixes.
Familiarity with BMC Patrol monitoring of SQL Server a plus.
This position requires 5+ years or more IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years as a Microsoft SQL Server database administrator.
Must have good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and co-workers in providing technical assistance and developing solutions.
Strong organizational and documentation skills required.
