-Conduct rigorous strategic financial analyses including unbooked resource potential analysis, long-range and budget forecasts, capital, production, and operating cost run-rate analysis, various probability assessments and other proactive insightful analyses as required by the business unit.
-Prepare, analyze, present and maintain business unit scorecard data for performance reporting purposes.
-Work closely with the Finance Team Lead and Controller to analyze monthly financial reports for business unit, including, but not limited to, capital, production, netback, and operating cost results
-Work closely with general accounting support staff to prepare/present routine management reports to BU leadership team, as well as monthly outlook forecast, prepared in conjunction with business unit input
-Interface with personnel in the Dallas office to ensure open communication between the finance team and the operational teams.
-Assist with the tracking and understanding of capital expenditures.
-Work with Dallas -based finance and accounting team to provide input for budget, planning and outlook forecasting exercises
-Complete special projects as assigned.
Experience: -Degree in accounting or finance
-CPA or MBA
-4+ years of experience
-direct oil and gas industry experience
