Our client located near the DFW Airport is looking for a contract QA Analyst: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:. Demonstrates excellent verbal communication skills. Listens to gain understanding of product and technical information quickly . Highlights areas of concern in meetings appropriately. Selects the right communication tools (forum, media, etc.) to communicate to individuals/groups. Interfaces to client managers/clients in a way that they understand (creates analogies, etc.). Asks appropriate questions to facilitate the completion of objectives. Communicates accurately to peers, client management, and leaders specific issues, concerns, and risks associated with the project. Keeps all stakeholders informed as the current status of the testing effort. Provides written test summary on technical results of subsystem testing details should include specific defects found and root cause analysis. Takes ownership of tasks and sees them through to successful completion. Identifies risks and communicates potential solutions to management. Shows personal planning and time management skills. Develops accurate estimates for assigned tasks. Exemplifies a superior work ethic. Able to work well independently or cooperatively within a small group. Responds well to rapidly shifting priorities and responsibilities . Learns mainly via on-the-job training activities/experimentation, seeks other resources when needed. Determines gaps in expertise through daily work activities/responds promptly to close them. Understanding of how separate product offerings integrate to form an industry solution. Solid understanding of an industry's standard business practices within a specific functional area. Displays knowledge of how our client's use our solutions in their operations. Demonstrates eagerness to figure out how things work. Certifies that the documented system requirements are met. Certifies that the business objective of the system is achieved. Finds the operating limits of the system. Writes test scripts according to accepted standards, executes predefined manual and automated tests on assigned areas, and documents results to stakeholders. Tracks defects and drives resolutions using the Defect Tracking System. Investigates product and effectively identifies where breakage may occur effectively. Demonstrate understanding of end user implementation of product(s). Demonstrates ability to configure and use the product offering for a specific industry. Provides feedback on design documents and technical specificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:. Demonstrates understanding of the product features/functions, the basic architecture on which it is built, and how it operates. Demonstrates an understanding of basic Operating System functions, basic networking, lab equipment, and application installation. Demonstrates a proficiency developing with VC++ or C# . Executes and maintains automated test scripts using existing testing automation tools. Demonstrates a basic understanding of database technologies and SQL.
