Good understanding and experience of STLC. 2. Optical domain experience in Network element Software (SONET/SDH) related to Provisioning, Alarms, Eqp/Fac Management, Cross connects, TL1 etc 3. Hands on experience in scripting - preferably Tcl/Tk 4. Thorough knowledge of SONET/SDH standards/ spec**s - Telcordia, IEEE, IETF, ITU, and ANSI 5. Hands-on experience with a variety of Test Equipment commonly used in the verification (Omniber , ANT-20, Fireberd, Smartbits etc) 6. Very good communication skills and past customer interaction experience.
