Partner with Application Development, Infrastructure, and other Teams in building out appropriate test environments and acquiring proper testing hardware.
? Evaluate alternative operational efficiencies and process changes for and communicate those to Leadership
? Coaches, mentors, and trains as appropriate
? Provide guidance in the completion of tasks and small projects
? Communicates risks to IT Project Management, and develops possible mitigation strategies
? Makes presentations to IT management, sponsors, and/or vendors. *Performs other duties as assigned
? Coordinate Test activities among wide variety of System Engineering and Applications Development Teams
? Assist in maintaining, coordinating, and managing test environments; (update environment calendars, review change requests, lead meetings, etc)
? Documentation of test environments
? Participate in on-call pager rotation
? Dissemination of information relating to changes within the managed test environment to affected parties where necessary
? Assist and/or lead in troubleshooting test environment related issues
? Identify and lead or delegate focus projects as necessary to ensure environment stability and effective environment management
?
Experience: Minimum 4 years experience with Unix and Windows Server Operating Systems
? Minimum 4 years experience working in Data Center environment
? Excellent understanding of server and desktop hardware, general networking technologies, and NAS storage principles.
? Minimum 4 years working within a heterogeneous platform environment (Unix, Mainframe, Windows, etc.).
? Minimum 3 years experience establishing and managing Test Environment processes and standards.
? Minimum 6 years experience using Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on WORD and PowerPoint.
