Our Dallas, TX client is seeking a Design Application Manager. This experienced role will join you to their progressive IT Organization's Design Applications team in supporting and leading their Revit Architecture application, other BIM tools, legacy CADD applications and other visualization production applications.You will be a Revit Architecture subject matter expert, providing a range of direct level 1 through levels 3 and 4 technical support to their exceptionally talented and motivated architects, interior designers, planners and graphic design professionals. You will connect closely with project teams to understand their projects and their needs. You must bring a passion for projects, people, customer service and teaching to this role. Expect to engage all scale of projects from short duration single office interiors engagements to multi-office, multi-year major healthcare projects in your technology support role. You will routinely deliver training and contribute to training design and direction. In addition to what's described above, the candidate we seek fits the following profile:You must have excellent collaborative and organizational skills. You will be expected to learn the resources of the IT Organization and the Firm, and to engage them when you need assistance or special expertise. An ability to document and prepare materials for training and orientation will be expected of you. You must have demonstrated deep knowledge and mastery of Revit Architecture, including ability to administer, install, configure, setup, customize, etc. Proven support experience will be required of you. Your knowledge of architectural practice, workflow and process will be essential to supporting your project teams and mentoring more junior Design Applications staff. You will be an accomplished Architectural Desktop (ADT)/AutoCAD user or support resource with ample hands-on experience. ADT experience is preferred. You will have solid experience with 3D Studio MAX/VIZ, Mental Ray, VRay, animation, or other advanced rendering techniques and familiarity with rendering farm implemention. Familiarity with Newforma, Buzzsaw, Constructware and other project collaborative tools is desirable. Other non-Autodesk CAD systems experience and knowledge (e.g. SketchUp, Rhino, FormZ, ArchiCAD, Triforma and Generative Components) is a plus. An aptitude for or past experience with PC support and network basics is a plus. You will be expected out of your experience using these applications to provide a moderate level of support for the Microsoft Windows/Office desktop and Adobe Creative Suite products, with particular emphasis on more graphical visual apps such as: PowerPoint, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator. 5-8 years experience in an architectural/interiors/planning or similarly oriented practice environment.
