Infrastructure Project Manager in Dallas, TX

This position plans, organizes, budgets and manages projects for the Infrastructure Services Service Line. Candidate must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, possess strong communication, documentation, management and leadership skills, and knowledge of project management tools.

This position will be a 13 month project and will require up to 50% travel to TN and Missouri datacenter locations.

Essential Functions:
- Project management and leadership of Infrastructure Services projects, milestones and tasks through completion within committed timeline and budget
- Works closely with the Infrastructure Services team to develop standardized processes and documentation templates for data migration strategies, hardware/os migrations/upgrades, system hardening standards, other standards and documentation as required
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Ensure compliance of MS projects with ISO 9001 requirements and/or ITIL standards
- Understands specific customer requirements and ensures appropriate resources are obtained to meet service delivery commitments.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion throughout the project.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Minimize the number of preventable problems experienced during project efforts
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Educates and trains MS project managers in all disciplines in company standard project management methods
- Generates management information regarding MS projects (effectiveness, customer satisfaction, quality control, resource allocation).

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Broad technical knowledge in IT infrastructure
- Strong Communication Skills (Presentations, Writing, Verbal)
- Good Negotiation skills with contract experience
- Performs other duties as required to meet departmental or organizational objectives.
Experience: Education, Experience & Licensure:
- A Computer Science or Business degree, or PM certifications
- Five years minimum in technical project leadership and/or management experience.

Preferred:
- Two years experience in a HealthCare environment
- Departmental management experience
- Experience in leading multi-discipline projects

- Verbal and written communication skills for a diverse customer base including, executives, technical and administrative staff
- Superior organization, planning and documentation skills to prioritize work flow and respond to conflicting deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills to discuss problems, analyze solutions/options, evaluate and enable improvement of processes
- Leadership skills such as coaching, persuasive, encouraging, motivating and conflict resolutions to aide in the development of personnel and project team
- Flexibility in work schedule is able to multi-task projects, handle multiple locations in stressful situations and be available for after hour's projects, when required.
- Must be willing to travel, up to 50%+ maybe required.
- Professional attire, attitude and demeanor and be able to work well with others (team player).
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
- Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
- Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity.
- Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Tenacious.
