Network Administrator

As an IT Network Administrator reporting to the Manager of Network Administration, provide systems, network implementations and technical support. The role has responsibility for IT operations and support of applications, and is key in designing and providing solutions to technical problems. This fast paced position requires direct contact with internal and multiple external IT vendors. The ideal candidate should have experience adapting to rapidly changing environments and developing/documenting IT operation procedures, documentation, and related operations framework. Our IT team is highly flexible with emphasis on delivering world class service to our customers.
On a day-to-day basis, this position will work with numerous technologies including: Windows 2003, RedHat Linux, F5/BigIP Load Balancers, SAN storage, VM, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, FTP/SFTP, SQL, Blackberry, wireless networks, Dell Hardware, Cisco Routers/Switches, Juniper Routers/Firewalls/SSL VPN’s, Extreme Switches, Ironport & various other systems and software.
Qualifications
Technical Skills/Requirements:
• 4+ years network design/architect experience including remote locations
• 4+ years of configuring/troubleshooting Cisco network equipment
• 2+ years of configuring/troubleshooting load balancer (F5/BigIP)
• 4+ years Redhat Linux experience, including installation, upgrade, administration, tuning and GFS
• 1+ years experience with systems and network security protocol, policies, and procedures
• 4+ years Windows 2k+ administration with Active Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP.
• 4+ years of strong network troubleshooting (WAN and LAN), FTP, and VPN. Demonstrate knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS, switch configuration and general network setup.
• 3+ years of building/configuring server hardware. Experience with Dell servers a plus
• Must possess solid systems and network troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills; is capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or verbally, has good phone skills.
Technical Skills/Highly Desirable:
• 3+ years application/software support. Perform systems/software administration, backup/recovery. Coordinate IT operations workflow, monitoring, problem resolution, and coordinate change.
• 2+ years -MS Outlook/Exchange support.
• 1+ years supporting remote locations and traveling users.
• 1+ years experience with Intrusion Prevention Systems
• 1+ years experience with virtual server (VMware)

Other Requirements:
• Must have a college degree or relevant work experience
• Microsoft, Cisco, RedHat certifications preferred
• Rotating On-call support
• Holiday, weekend and after hours work may be required
