Windows Based Technical Manager in Dallas, TX

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Must be an active and interactive leader of the team members. Must communicate openly and often with the team members. Must provide clear direction, provide assistance in prioritizing duties/tasks, manage customer expectations to enable the team members to be successful in there work efforts. Must be an advocate for the team members efforts with the account and the customer. Must manage the projects and tasks of the team to ensure balance and excellent service delivery.
Must actively and often communicate with the customer. Must develop a strong, positive working relationship with the customer groups. Must understand the needs, business drivers, and technical requirements of the customer. Must display technical prowess to establish, build, and maintain credibility with the customer. Must provide thought leadership in collecting customer requirements, and must be able to develop effective solutions.
Manage work activities for diverse and global work staff of 14 that provides 2nd and 3rd level Windows problem resolution support along with project activities for multiple clients.
Demonstrate organizational abilities by established process and procedures for the majority of tasks within the department to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsible for maintaining the Active Directory infrastructure for 800+ production servers located in multiple remote/local data centers
Responsible for managing patch deployment as well as software distribution
Direct responsibility for the daily team performance required to achieve client goals. Responsible for training and mentoring administrators
Conducts daily/weekly meetings and interacts regularly with personnel staff, and with clients if necessary to constantly identify ways to improve operations.
Ensures adherence to department policies/procedures as well as generate requested or required reports for customers and management. Keeps apprised of developments in field of expertise to ensure currency of knowledge.
Enforce all company policies and procedures as well as all client required business rules
Achieve established service level and revenue goals and minimize lost revenue.Accountable for maintaining system up time.

Education and Typical Years of Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Masters preferred.

Related technical experience including at least 5 years computer/system design experience (includes at least 2 year of software installation, maintenance and customization experience).
* 7+ years experience in successful task leadership demonstrating strong organizational and task leadership skills.


Specific Requirements:
Specific Requirements: * In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory, SMS, and thin client technologies. MCSE certification preferred. Knowledge of NetIQ, VMWare, and other system support tools are required.
