JOB DESCRIPTION:
Open position for a senior level Unix Administrator with experience working in a large, complex IT infrastructure(s). Ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter and committed team player with strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE: MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF TWO (2) OS SKILLS
6 years experience building and supporting Solaris 8, 9 & 10 on Sun Sparc Midrange platforms
6 years experience building and supporting either SUSE or RedHat Linux
6 years experience build and supporting IBM AIX 5.X
6 years experience building and supporting HP/UX 11.X
4 years experience Host / SAN connectivity (required on both Linux and Solaris)
5 years experience supporting Veritas FS, VM, VCS and CFS (Must have experience in Veritas Clustering Suite)
3 years experience with Dell, HP or IBM blade servers
2 years experience configuring Solaris Zones
Experience and working knowledge of Kickstart and Jumpstart
Current Experience with updating firmware/ BIOS for HP, Pseries, SUN and Intel Platforms
Current Experience with OS security patching procedures/process
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Some working knowledge of Oracle RAC / ASM
Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, JBoss and other middleware related applications
Shell scripting (Ksh, bash, or sh)
Experience with Remedy or other ticketing systems.
