Infrastructure Project Manager in Dallas, TX

This position is an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure Project Manager to work with one of our most dynamic Fortune 100 clients. You will manage multiple IT infrastructure deployments and application assessment projects within the IT organization, and have overall responsibility for the delivery of projects within budget and schedule. Providing accurate status reporting, forecasting and client communications are important aspects of this position.

10+ years of overall IT experience is required, along with at least 5+ years experience managing projects ranging in size from 2000 hours to 10,000 hours. Extensive experience managing projects that involve application assessments, IT/Telecom infrastructure deployments and infrastructure migration of Servers, desktops, databases, software, routers, LAN/WAN and telecommunications equipment. Experience managing multiple vendors and third parties and managing project scope ensuring proper escalation for issues and risks is essential. Strong knowledge of issues and dependencies on infrastructure projects and experience planning and controlling large scale infrastructure projects is a must. Knowledge of Project Management standards and methodologies and a working knowledge of the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) are needed. PMP certification is strongly preferred. Desirable skills include knowledge of and experience with: Distributed UNIX and WINTEL platforms, Citrix, SAN Storage, NAS Storage, VMWare, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and large Data Networks.
