Lead Quality Assurance Engineer in Dallas, TX

Develops, publishes, and implements test plans.

Writes and maintains test automation.

Develops quality assurance standards. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks.

May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist.

May lead and direct the work of others.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

KEY SKILLS: manual testing, automated testing, QA, QA / Tester, Use Case, Mercury Interactive's automated testing suite i.e. QTP ( Quick Test Pro ), test scripts, Oracle SQL, quality assurance methodologies, Windows, UNIX ( Solaris ), web-based application development methods, high-transaction / high-volume environment, OLTP / OLAP
Experience:

Bachelor's degree

5+ years of manual and automated testing

Strong working experience with Use Case, Mercury Interactive's automated testing suite i.e. QTP ( Quick Test Pro )

Must be able to generate their own test scripts

Basic Oracle SQL skills

Experience in an object oriented environment ( C++, Java )

Able to lead and mentor a team

Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies

Familiar with Windows, UNIX and/or Solaris environments



Preferred:

Experience with web-based application development methods
