Network Engineer II in Dallas, TX

Monitor WAN\LAN using SNMPc monitoring tool. Investigate errors reported via SNMPc to determine root cause. Troubleshoot network issues. Take corrective actions per defined support processes. Communicate all issues with the WAN\LAN support teams through phone calls, email, and log files Input the proper Teloc tickets for all WAN issues. Follow-up all Telco issues to resolution. Execute daily run and maintain duties (ex. Lock and unlock routers, check log files for anomalies, etc.) Plan daily work load according to priorities outlined. Maintain and update Network support database, KBase Complete planned network drop and or network equipment installations. Attend and participate in required meetings. ( ex. Morning production, Weekly NOC, and Server productionization meeting, etc) Follow established/documented LDC procedures. 1. General knowledge of Remedy ticketing system. 2. Ability to multitask 3. Telephone and communication skills. 4. Willing to increase knowledge and skills as new technologies and opportunities emerge. 5. Ability to work in a 24/7 work environment on a 12 hours shift for days or nights. 6. Ability to work in a team setting is a must. Experience: A minimum of two years experience in all phases of Network administration is necessary. Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills with sound judgment and ability to interface effectively with clients, vendors, and management staff is essential.
