Production Support Analyst - NT / SQL Server JCPenney Home Office - Plano, TX External Job Description: JCPenney Information Technology based in the Plano, TX headquarters of JCPenney has an immediate opening in the Direct Systems area for a Production Support Analyst. Responsibilities: 1. Production support for the site. This requires 24x7 on-call 2 of every 5 weeks. 2. Mentoring of other production support staff. 3. Pro-actively monitor the site in an effort to catch problems early. 4. Troubleshoot/solve application and hardware problems. 5. Research, test, and install bug fixes, patches, and upgrades. 6. Research tools for such issues as security and monitoring. 7. Management reporting. 8. Build production web servers. 9. Help maintain web-related directories on production web servers. 10. Assist with code promotions and configuration changes to production web servers. 11. Represent the Production Support Group on special projects and committees. Qualifications: 1. 5+ years experience in Enterprise NT Server Administration. 2. MS Windows 2000/2003 -- Install, Use, Troubleshoot. 3. Dell/Compaq server hardware background and build experience. 4. Basic understanding of LAN/WAN network protocols and topologies. 5. IIS Web Server Administration. 6. Strong troubleshooting skills. 7. SQL 2000 and SQL 7.0 - trouble-shooting capabilities and administration. 8. Experience with two or more of the following: NT Shell Scripting, VBScript/Vbasic, jScript, .NET, WMI, C++. 9. Office 2000 - Word, Excel, Project-use of tools as well as admin experience. 10. Project management experience. 11. Exceptional people skills. 12. Ability to learn quickly and desire to learn constantly. Skills desired, but not required: 13. Large group/enterprise NT admin. 14. MCSE Certification 15.
