Our Dallas client is seeking to directly hire an IT Systems Specialist.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Responsible for application and desktop support issues involving end user support, local area network troubleshooting, and system support in theDallas office. Provide project management skills and work with IT staff on firm-wide projects. May lead or manage large IT related projects across the firm.
JOB CHARACTERISTICS:
Work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure high quality services provided
Provide support for all users on a regular basis, following firm guidelines, policies and procedures
Coordinate and work closely with all IT staff, following established standards
Ensuring data integrity, security and confidentiality
Provide excellent customer service skills in tight deadline situations
Related work as assigned by the IT Director
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years IT experience in a technical support role
Minimum of 2 years experience handling large technical projects such a software rollouts, upgrades and integrations, as a project manager
Extensive experience supporting Windows operating systems, MS Office Suite, e-mail and document management systems
Experience in software training and developing related training material
Demonstrated success interacting effectively with computer end-users, co-workers, vendors and others in a constructive, positive manner
Strong customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in computer support in the legal field or law firm
Experience with Novell NetWare, and NetWare file servers and systems
Experience with network administration, such as LAN/WAN, routers and switches and firewalls, and multiple network protocols; experience with SAN technologies, virtualization, clustering technologies
Experience with Interwoven/iManage DMS, GroupWise e-mail, or InterAction CRM
Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Two years or more experience in software training
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting, standing, walking, computer use, lifting up to 25 pounds; moving computer equipment, boxing/un-boxing equipment, and typical physical requirements for desktop computer and laptop support
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Travel - Occasional travel required, less than 10%
Overtime - As with all computer related positions, some overtime and after hours work is required. Occasional, infrequent nights or weekends will be expected.
