Microsoft Excel Report Writer in Dallas, TX

The client is recognized as a leader in the Dallas Fort Worth area! This client has a need for an experienced analyst utilizing Microsoft's Excel that wants to move into an information technology business intelligence analyst. You will be trained to design and build Business Intelligence reports utilizing your existing business experience and knowledge. As a MS Excel Report Writer, you will learn various reporting techniques and skills; next you will be responsible for the analysis, design, and development of the Business Intelligence environment and database structures for an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).

Role:
This position is responsible for the analysis, development, analysis, and implementation of procedures and/or processes to design a reporting. You will gain knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems to evaluate requests for new or modified programs, systems, or databases to determine feasibility, resource requirements, compatibility with current systems, and computer capabilities.
Key Objectives:
-- Continue to build various business reports utilizing MS Excel, scripts, Visual Basic, and SQL programming;
-- Identify ownership and accountability for enterprise reporting information.
-- Build a framework for accurately capturing, sharing, distributing, securing, and leveraging company data resources.
Job Requirements:
1) Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Science with a concentration in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent.
2) Four years of reporting experience working in a Microsoft Office - Excel environment. Ability to demonstrate skill in various functions and features (database, pivot tables, look-up, etc.)
3) Two years experience with relational database technology, SQL Programming.
4) Two years of experience in a job requiring data analysis.
5) Experience with SQL, relational database systems tools.
Required:
-- Strong ability to work with business units to formulate business and data requirements.
-- Ability to work with other database administrators to complete database designs and models.
-- Highly motivated individual with very good analytical skills dedicated to completing tasks on schedule.

Desired:
-- Knowledgeable programming in Visual Basic;
-- Experience with other Business Intelligence software (SAS, Cognos, Business Objects, MicroStrategies) applications.
