Technical Project Manager in Dallas, TX

THIS POSITION CAN BE BASED OUT OF MOST MAJOR METRO AREAS IN THE WEST OR SOUTHWEST US, INCLUDING IRVINE, CA; DALLAS; KANSAS CITY; HOUSTON; SEATTLE, AND PORTLAND,OR.

Sirius currently has 2 exceptional opportunities on our Open Systems Technical Services team for experienced Technical Project Managers. A strong background with IBM System p (pSeries) and IBM Storage solutions is preferred for these roles. These billable, services delivery positions will provide technical project management for Sirius' customers, and will require frequent travel (up to 75% of the time).

Experience: Knowledge & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related area, or equivalent related industry experience

Experience with IBM System p and IBM Storage solutions strongly preferred

PMP certification strongly preferred

3 + years experience managing IT infrastructure projects

Consulting experience preferred

Experience developing, maintaining and tracking project schedules

Proven interpersonal, written/verbal communication, organizational and leadership skills.

Ability to articulate strong product knowledge to customers and staff

Outstanding verbal acuity and a professional image

Ability to speak with enthusiasm and confidence in order to retain customers and garner respect of staff

Effective problem solving, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills a must

Proficient at conflict resolution

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously



Travel:

Frequent travel (including air and automobile) required to various client locations

Current driver's license required

Air travel capability required
