SENIOR .NET DEVELOPER JCPenney Home Office - Plano, TX Job Description: The Senior Software Engineer will carry out the functions for designing, architecting, developing, and implementing middleware applications to support the Direct Customer Experience division of the Company. The candidate will take on responsibility of architecture, design, and construction of complex mission critical enterprise infrastructure components. The candidate must be willing to take over and resolve problems with existing components. The candidate must have strong knowledge of thread synchronization, performance tuning, debugging in multi-user, multi-threaded IIS environment. In-depth knowledge of .NET Framework, in-memory .NET process behavior needed. Responsibilities:
  • Design, architect, code, test, implement and document new applications that are parts of Internet Store () Infrastructure, OEN (Online Order Entry), and Internet Store DBA systems
  • Monitor and maintain current system applications
  • Interface with business user community and application developers to understand project requirements and meet user needs/expectations
  • Support and enhance a critical middleware application that perform database connection and application fail-over automation in a 24 by 7 two-node environment
  • Provide performance tuning scalability for Internet Store site, OEN, and DBA
  • Communicate project status to management Qualifications:
  • Application Architect / Software Developer / Analyst, VB.NET, Microsoft .NET / IIS environment, strong OOD / OOP knowledge, team development environment, construction, debugging large scale infrastructure components, .NET 1.1, 2.0, Java Script, Java, C#, HTML, XML, SQL, SQL Server 2000
  • Have at least 5 years of experiences in VB.NET or C#
  • Have at least 7 years of experiences in performing application architecture work as an application architect in a leadership role
  • Have at least 7 years of experiences in multi-threaded coding, advanced Win32API skills, and 24 by 7 availability support
  • Have at least 5 years of experiences in DBA performance tuning for MS SQL
  • Knowledge and experience with object-oriented design and implementation
  • Ability to recognize and implement common design patterns
  • Ability to design and implement appropriate infrastructures to support cross platform and cross database environments, provide scalability and two-node implementation
  • Ability to quickly and accurately perform troubleshooting and repair of existing applications
  • Ability to function as technical lead analyst to guide a small team of developers
  • Interest in enhancing skills and learning new technologies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
