Windows and Unix Systems Administrator in Dallas, TX

Robert Half Technology, the world's leader in technology staffing, is currently seeking a Windows and Unix Systems Administrator. On a day to day basis, the candidate will be responsible for architecture and support of the UNIX (Linux & Solaris) systems; performing technical evaluations, integrating systems and custom applications, and developing processes to ensure system availability around the clock. Candidate will also provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotation basis. <br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must have 4+ years of System Administration in a UNIX operating environment (O/S installation, configuration, tuning, storage management including NFS and SAN and alert monitoring); be experienced in high availability technologies and architectures (redundant design, load balancers); have 3+ years in Systems Engineering disciplines such as Trending, Capacity Planning, Single point of failure analysis, Metrics and Architecting new environments; be fluent in shell scripting; have excellent interpersonal skills; and have extensive troubleshooting skills in DNS Administration, HTTP/HTTPS, Apache and SSH, Mail Relays (sendmail and Postfix, TLS). Linux is required, Solaris and F5 Big IP are also recommended.
