Robert Half Technology, the world's leader in technology staffing, is currently seeking a Contract to Hire Application Architect for a high tech firm based in Downtown Dallas
The Applications / Integration (EAI) Architect will be responsible for executing on the complete development life-cycle of an integration solution including Gathering Requirements, Analyzing, Designing, Developing, Testing, Implementing and Supporting.
On a day to day basis, the candidate will:
- Develop Data Warehouse and Near Real Time integration solutions that meet stated business requirements.
- Discuss with business associates and other project resources to gather and understand
requirements for integration
- Gain complete understanding of business systems and/or external solution providers to be integrated
- Develop and document designs that meet stated requirements
- Architect and develop complete end-to-end integration solutions for a given integration challenge using IBM Datastage, IBM Websphere Business Integrator (ICS) and WebSphere Process Server, Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle PL/SQL
- Expertise in SOA - Service Oriented Architecture and the use of proper integration techniques and development methodologies
- Educate and socialize use of proper integration techniques to various Business System and Application Managers, IT Management, and Business Leaders
- Manage integration projects as assigned to be on-time and within allocated budget
- Provide guidance and transfer knowledge on requirements to other integration developers
- Proliferate the use of SOA and other leading integration techniques through developed solutions
- Develop Enterprise class Data Models and document source and target Metadata

Experience: In order to qualify for this position the candidate must have:
- Bachelor's (B.A.) Degree from a 4 Year University or College or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years experience with integrating or direct development on ERP Systems (Oracle 11i E-Business Suite Preferred)
- 4+ years experience in development using a commercial EAI tools (IBM Toolsets preferred)
- 3+ years experience in Data Warehousing
- Experience in relational and dimensional Data Modeling
- Proven competencies with Oracle PL/SQL & Unix Shell Scripting
- Experience with integrating a variety of sources (XML, API's, Multiple Databases, SOA, ERP, Flat Files)
-Web based application architectures, Web Services, Open Systems Environment
- High Availability (HACMP) / High Availability Disaster Recovery
-Security / Portal and Mobile solutions design & deployment
- Experience with various technology and application integration adaptors (ex: HL7)
- Any experience with business intelligence suites & tools a big plus.
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Proven track record of being accountable and holding to commitments
- Team player; experience in team development environments
