Windows IIS - ASP Systems Administrator in Dallas, TX

As part of our Client's Enterprise Systems team, you will be responsible as the Systems Administrator for a web application development and hosting environment. . In this role, you will responsible for developing technical solutions that address business requirements on the Worksphere enterprise systems. The Worksphere systems are the center of the collaboration tool set activities for the company. As a 'mission critical' application, the Worksphere system needs to offer the highest reliability, performance, and security possible. The Systems Administrator is challenged to perform systems design, development, modification, expansion and implementation of new and current solutions to address a wide range of business and systems issues. Candidate must be able to participate, review, and critique IIS, ASP, and ASP.NET configurations, programs, and processes.

The candidate should possess the following:
- Work with development team to perform the highest reliability, system performance analysis and tuning; and security, etc.
- Monitor system usage;
- Expert at configuring and troubleshooting Windows 2003, with a focus on IIS, ASP, and ASP.NET configuration.
- Experience working in a development environment, with an understanding of developers needs;
- Networking knowledge, especially relating to HTTP traffic, including SSL, firewalls, NAT, and scenarios;
- Virtualization, preferably VMWare, including virtualization candidate evaluation.
- Review and document current environment;
- Experience working with internal and external vendors and employees;

- Create/propose schemas to support one-time data cleansing/fix efforts.
- Assist the Data Center with recoveries;
- Review design documentation for compliance with requirements;
- Identify process changes; design and help implement revised processes;
- Help drive consensus on areas of required commonality ;
- Assist with preparation and delivery of communications to end-users;

Desired Skills and Knowledge
- MS Office, MS Outlook, Lotus Notes, Visio,
- Ability to create, document and implement repeatable processes
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks
- Work with a diverse group including users, developers, etc.
- Work in a fast paced environment
- SharePoint 2007 setup and configuration experience
- Establish, follow and enforce documentation standards
- Capable of being both an individual contributor and working as part of a team.
- Proactive personality with a proven track record of delivering on responsibilities and tasks.
- Highly adaptive with an ability to organize, coordinate, and execute on details.
- Willingness to work in a team environment, and in a proactive manner

Education / Certification Requirements:
. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Business Administration. Computer Sciences, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
