Robert Half Technology, the world's leader in technology staffing, is currently seeking a Lead Desktop Support Consultant for a 3-6 Month Contract with a possibility of converting to full-time for a client in the Uptown Dallas area
On a day to day basis, the candidate will take the lead role in a 2 person desktop support team. Will be responsible for providing support to 300-400 corporate office end users. Also will provide desktop support for the executive team including: CEO, VP's and founders. Other responsibilities include managing the conference rooms (A/V equipment), providing mentorship to junior desktop, setting priorities and assisting with desktop and laptop migrations and rollouts. Must be comfortable providing mentorship but not management duties as this is a lead and not management role.

Experience: In order to qualify for this position the candidate must have 5+ years of lead desktop support experience in the following areas:
-Windows XP
- DCP (wired and wireless connectivity)
- Ghost or other image software
- Prior experience with Executive level support
- Audio/Visual equipment (Teleconference, projectors, etc)
- Printers, faxes, etc
- System migrations (moving old computer to new computers)
- Dell hardware
- Knowledge of AD and Exchange
-Knowledge of how Outlook interacts with Exchange; Specifically how to configure Outlook to be recognized by the Exchange server.
-Knowledge of how to set up profiles on workstations to access folders from Active Directory. But will not be configuring or implementing AD or Exchange.
