Leading Hedge-fund is looking for a Middle Tier Developer to join their growing team.
All qualified candidates will possess the following:
Qualifications
• BS or BA in Computer Science, MIS or Engineering
• 2-4 years of experience
• Experience required with:
o C#: .NET 2.0 and up
o Web services
o SQL Server 2000/2005
Responsibilities
• Work with the various business units to gather requirements and add value to design discussions
• Design and develop interfaces using the latest technologies to provide a rich, robust and responsive middle-tier or backend service layers
• Leverage technical knowledge and expertise to recommend solutions to fit the needs of end users
• Ability to develop solutions given high-level specs or operation contracts
• Ability to write up design documents and specs
• Experience with the following technologies preferred but not required:
o Enterprise Patterns
o WCF: Windows Communication Framework, .NET 3.0/3.5
o XML and XSD
• Financial services domain experience is preferred
• Object Oriented techniques: Test-Driven Development or Design Patterns
• Holistic approach to solving problems
• Collaborative
• Reliable, ability to self-manage
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work an average 50 hour work week
