Responsible for testing assigned application functionality during system, integration, and regression testing phases utilizing best practices in software testing methodology. This individual will work closely with a Test Team Lead to communicate and resolve application issues. Requires experience testing Internet and distributed applications. Proficiency in testing web applications, web services, customer service and distribution center applications. The position requires knowledge of PL/SQL, ETL, UNIX, and Mercury TestDirector.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Test case definition and documentation, manual/automated test execution, and issue reporting.
* Interface with development teams to report bugs and track issues until resolution.
* Gain a surpassing knowledge of responsible area, plus provide general support for other areas

* Advanced test case development skills that transforms business requirements into measurable and testable
scenarios.
* The ability to create and execute the following test types in accordance with industry best practices:
* Functional Testing (white box / system)
* Data Integrity Testing
* Forced Error Testing (negative testing)
* Integration Level Testing
* Regression Testing
Knowledge/Skills:
* 8 years of progressive experience in quality assurance or equivalent work experience
* 5 years of experience with web based consumer facing e-commerce applications
* 2 year of experience using testing tools is a plus(preference will be given to candidates with Mercury
Interactive's QTP, TestDirector or Quality Center and LoadRunner tool experience)
Education/Experience:
Typically requires Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems management and/or related curriculum. Candidate could have been a programmer before, but is a solid QA test engineer.
