Large Dallas Based Manufacturing Company needs an Ambitious Desktop Support Technician. The candidate must have mid to extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity. They must be customer service oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems. The candidate must also be willing to be flexible across the organization and be able to learn new tasks such as phone support, minimal desktop administration, MS Exchange, and etc. The qualified candidate must be able to support 200 employees and 5+ servers (SQL Server 2005 and MS Exchange) Another duty will be to assist in the rollout and trouble- shooting of Microsoft Great Plains version 10. It would be beneficial if the candidate has experience with SQL Reporting services and a Nortel Phone System environment. <br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in a computer related field and 2+ years installing and supporting PC and laptop hardware. Additional requirements may include professional certifications from entities such as HDI or Microsoft. Microsoft Great Plains version 10 experience is required. Experience with Windows XP/Windows 98 is a must.
