Our client based in Dallas, TX is currently interviewing for a SQL Server 2005 Database Developer. The SQL 2005 Server Database Developer position encompasses developing database objects and structures for data storage, retrieval and reporting according to project specifications. The SQL Server Database Developer will be responsible for developing objects to update and display data in a relational database. In addition, the SQL Server Database Developer will work with a multi-tiered database architecture, distributed databases and interface development. The SQL Server Database Developer will be responsible for implementing and testing database design and functionality, and tuning for performance. Other responsibilities include providing support to database administrators and interfacing with business users to ensure the database is satisfying business requirements. In addition, designing and developing back-end database to web and e-commerce applications will be required for the SQL 2005 Server Database Developer. <br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is sought, although database development experience of 5 + years can be substituted. Familiarity and hands-on experience with SQL 2005 Server development is essential. Professional certification (Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) is a strong plus. We need someone who has had exposure to the BI tools in SQL 2005 such as SSAS, SSRS or SSIS. The SQL Server 2005 Database Developer also needs to be proficient with T-SQL Development, indexes and tables. Experience in Internet technologies, preferably .NET, also is valuable since many web applications interface with databases. Candidates for SQL Database Developers need a thorough understanding of relational database theory and practice. SQL Server Database Developers must be analytical and adept at problem solving.
