Looking for a highly skilled PeopleSoft Solution Architect! in Dallas, TX
Immediate opening for a PeopleSoft Solution Architect to lead the planning and execution of the upgrade to PeopleSoft 9.1 from PeopleSoft 8.8 in an enterprise environment with high availability and high performance requirements. This is a 12 month contract position located in Dallas, TX. This position will provide leadership in setting direction and delivery of advanced technology for key enterprise initiatives. This high visibility position will initially focus on the client's PeopleSoft landscape including infrastructure, security, software, OS, performance testing and database with the ability in the future to expand into other advanced technology initiatives critical to the company. A key component of this role will be to provide technical leadership in best practices, process and governance. Candidate must be able to create a detailed project plan that encompasses all aspects of the project scope and the resources required to achieve the plan. This includes using existing compare reports to create a fit gap, review the current customizations, design the upgrade solution, create a staffing plan, and prepare a test plan that outlines the migration paths and upgrade steps. A thorough understanding of the functionality of 8.9 and/or 9.0 (HR, Base Benefits, Payroll) is needed to guide decisions on features to deploy with upgrade and the associated impact. Effective communication skills are required with the project team and functional users. The candidate will lead the planning and design effort for the PeopleSoft 9.1 Upgrade and assist the project manager in keeping the project on track throughout the life cycle. REQUIRED:-5 years experience as a solution architect supporting PeopleSoft HR/Payroll system. -3 years experience with v8.9, v9.0, or v9.1. -5 years preferred in a Lead Role of a team of 5 or more members.-7 years of application development experience in PeopleTools.-Hands-on experience in Oracle or other related database technologies.-Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle using frameworks such as Agile and Waterfall. -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as excellent written and oral skills.DESIRED:-Working knowledge of application architectures, reference models, and Web infrastructure.-Experience with secure Web environments, security processes and patterns.-Working knowledge with various Web technologies such as (not limited to): XML, XSLT, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, ASP, JSP, JSF, ASP.NET, etc.-Experience with Project Managment and Planning.-Experience with leading distributed teams where members are not all at a single location.-Hands-on experience with design/development patterns.-Experience with development and communication of road maps, strategies and budgets to Customers and IT Leaders.-Working knowledge of composite application development, portals, Web sites, Web applications Administrator and development experience with various source control systems such as STAT CVS, Subversion, Clear Case, Visual Source Safe, etc. EDUCATION:Bachelors degree in Computer Science/IT To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
