Radiology Equipment Technicians in Dallas, TX

The Radiology Equipment Specialist repairs, maintains, tests, and calibrates diagnostic imaging equipment/systems to ensure its safe and proper operation.Performs scheduled preventive maintenance according to Hospital policies, procedures and industry-recognized standards.Maintains documentation of all service events, performance tests and corrective maintenance performed on a wide range of imaging systems including, but not limited to, Diagnostic X-ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, and Patient Archive and Communications Systems (PACS).Participates in and/or assists with development of departmental and Hospital-based continuous quality improvement initiatives. Maximizes patient safety by supporting the proper use, application and operational performance of patient care equipment. Serves as a knowledge resource for Medical staff, clinical staff, and clinical supervisors/managers.Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and safety testing on assigned diagnostic imaging systems, using specialized test equipment, tools, and simulation devices. Installs, maintains, services, troubleshoots and calibrates a variety of diagnostic imaging systems by using manufacturer service manuals and schematic diagrams. Documents all actions and test results according to department policy, using computerized maintenance management software applications and other standard office software applications. Periodically travels to other facilities to assist with scheduled and unscheduled service activities.3-5 years experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment, preferably x-ray equipment.Knowledge of Philips, GE, and Siemens Cath Lab and Angiographic systems.
