Qualifications & Experiences:

Oracle upgrade experience from 9i to 10g on AIX and Win3k
Physical database administration on AIX and Win3k as well as scripting;
Database problem determination and resolution;
Database performance tuning; implementation of new databases; maintenance for existing databases;
Implementation and maintenance of security and database monitoring activities.
Solid understanding of relational database concepts.
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
IBM AIX 5.1
3-5 Years as an Oracle Database Administrator in a Production Support environment.
Experience with the Administration, Performance & Tuning, and Configuration of Oracle 9i and 10g.
Ability to create and maintain entity relationship diagrams and design data models of the applications accessing databases.
Must have excellent consultative and communication skills and must be able to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.
Must be a TEAM player and have demonstrated professional leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to work independently on multiple on-going projects/tasks.
Exceptional skills in Oracle database administration and with experience in implementing Oracle clusters (active / passive), and Storage Area Networks.
Porting & Migrating PL/SQL scripts from MS SQL Server to AIX Oracle
Highly proficient skill level in Oracle 9i and 10g with database administration concepts, database design, back-up and recovery, modeling, data warehousing, performance tuning, monitoring, security, and diagnostic tools
Coordinate tasks, identify efficiency areas, mobilize team to deliver deployment strategies and document the same.
Exhibit leadership and participative qualities.
Development experience with PL/SQL, stored procedures, and packages.
Document environment and relationships between applications and the database.
Proven ability to perform porting from one UNIX environment to another.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Oracle DBA and Oracle Development Experience (PL/SQL).
Experience with Oracle 9i/10g Real Application Clusters.
Experience with Oracle10g clustering and DataGuard.
Experience with Oracle Replication, Logical, and Physical Standby.
Experience with IBM AIX and EMC SAN Storage Devices.
Experience with Unix shell scripting

Highly skilled with: Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), Statspack, SQL, PL/SQL, database reorgs, implement security policies, UNIX shell scripting, partitioning, streams, replication and parallel processing.
Desired Skills:
Oracle Certification preferred but not required.
Microsoft SQL Sever database administration skills a plus.
PeopleSoft experience a plus.
Must be willing to learn and work on other RDBMS (SQL Server, Sybase) as needed for supporting the customer's business requirements.
Experience: RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing Oracle support to the development team, perform software/database builds, serve as production DBA, monitor database backups, availability, and performance, update the system/database maintenance documents, troubleshoot database-related end user issues.
Production Support including off-hours support when needed.
Change Management (Database Overlays/Refreshes, Promote code through all environments from development to production)
High Availability, performance tuning, query optimization, partitioning.
Create and maintain process/procedure documentation
Install and upgrade various Oracle products and toolsets
Act as primary or secondary for support of various applications, contribute to projects, and act as secondary for certain Unix SA tasks.
Assists in the selection, configuration, and implementation of all hardware/software platforms (AIX, Windows3K) intended to support a database and its associated applications.
Configuration, and implementation of all database utilities intended to support a database and its associated applications. Installs a database system and establishes a functioning instance of the database.
Designs, implements, and supports backup and recovery procedures for all database systems.
Implements daily operational procedures to ensure database platforms are performing efficiently.
Develop and implement data and database related standards, procedures, and guidelines.
