EMP & Associates is searching for C programmers with Unix and RDBMS skills. This is a 6+ month contract (extension likely) in western North Carolina with a Fortune 100 retailer which is growing fast! Beautiful country, 30 minutes from the mountains, low cost of living with a great quality of life. Position will involve maintenance and development. Candidates must have 4 years of C programming experience (C++ is not a substitute), 2 years of Unix (preferably AIX), and 2 years of relational database experience (such as Oracle, SQL/Server, DB2, Sybase, Informix,etc.). Experience with embedded SQL (Pro*C, ESQL) and socket programming is desired. Extension past 6 months is HIGHLY likely, with no restriction on conversion to permanent status with the client.
Requirements:
4 years IT Experience 4 years C programming experience 2 years relational database experience (such as Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, Sybase, Informix,etc.) 2 years Unix experience (preferably some AIX) Preferred, but not required: Sybase database experience Pro*C Embedded SQL Socket Programming MUST HAVE C PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE (NOT just C++)!!
