Senior Network Engineer + Dallas, TX (#8708338) in Dallas, TX

To apply for this position you must be able to acquire a Homeland Security Clearance (US Citizen, drug and felony-free, and bankruptcy-free). You also must reside close enough to be able to be on-site within 45 minutes. While on-site at a large financial institution located at 717 Harwood Street 75201, you will provide first level support and maintenance of server hardware and attached peripherals running the client's desktop-based electronic lockbox remittance application. You'll also be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosis, resolution, and repair of server hardware & Network Operating System problems, as well as issues with attached PC-based peripherals on a 7x24 basis. The company will also provide training on IBML ImageTrack Scanners as well as on-going training and corporate support on the lock box remittance application (which runs on Free BSD Unix). This position is open for immediate interview and hire.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following skill requirements: A minimum of 5 years experience in configuration of server hardware from component level up to in-production mounted in a rack. At least 5 years experience with first-hand experience and support of Network Operating Systems (Novell Netware, Microsoft NT Server). Must be able to configure SCSI termination without manuals, and configure software RAID and various levels of hardware RAID arrays and have actual hot swap experiences and be prepared to discuss those situations. Experience with server NOS software version upgrades or brand-to-brand migration experience is a plus. Must be familiar with at least 2 PC-based O/S. Experience in Windows desktop migrations, and LAN Administration is preferred. It is not necessary to have an MCSE or A+ certification, but instead prefer real proven and referenceable track record of relevant industry experience. Strong mechanical aptitude Must have reliable transportation and reside close enough to have ability to be on-site within 45 minutes response time in the event of 7 x 24 call-in Must be a mature & professional career-minded individual with 7 to 10 years of on-site Customer Support experience in a computer-based environment (not phone support) Excellent communication and documentation skills Interviewing now with goal of start BY June 1, 2006. As a sub-contractor for 6 months you will support the client approximately 40 hour per week (Opportunities for overtime based on client needs. ) The pay rate is $25-$35/hr depending on experience and level of match to (listed above) required skills. At time of convertion to full-time permanent employment (after 6 months), the pay range is $50K-$65K annually + benefits (health ins, retirement, disability, etc.). Must be able to lift 50 pounds. US Citizen Drug Test and Felony Background check required - must be felony-free as position may require you be bonded. Must be able to acquire Homeland Security Clearance and work inside a banking environment. Relocation assistance not available.
