These positions are excellent opportunities for Senior Java Developers to make significant contributions to the design and development efforts for a newly formed team with one of the areas leading corporations. The majority of the development will be Java based. Throughout the design phase, you will be asked to help document the design strategy in a way that can be clearly communicated. As part of your development responsibilities, you will build unit tests and help provide integration testing before submitting the application to Software Assurance Testing (SAT). Throughout the project life cycle, your work will be expected to adhere to corporate methodology standards.
5+ years of Java Application Development experience in a UNIX environment is required. SUN Solaris, HP-UX and/or Linux experience is preferred. Significant experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design, integration testing and Oracle relational database experience is essential. Strong verbal communication skills and design documentation skills are a must. Experience designing enterprise applications from start to finish is important. A strong preference will be given for experience developing Reservation & Ticketing applications and interfacing with financial and accounting systems. Experience with LDAP, Rational Clear Case and ClearQuest and experience with Service Oriented Architectures are pluses.
