PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Act as a focal point in managing and assisting with the Active Directory Administration in a multi-site enterprise environment for Essilor of America.
2. Plan and assist in network design and manage the implementation of Active Directory network & WSUS infrastructure components and coordinate the development and maintenance of procedures, specifications and standards.
3. Managing Active Directory projects related to technology pilots, conversions, and implementations, providing engineering, design and technical support for customer and/or internal networks, analyzing network performance and makes recommendations for improvements.
4. Extensive experience with Active Directory 2003 Group Policy management, DNS, WINS, DHCP, Backup and Disaster recovery.
5. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the File, Print & Storage Servers and ensuring its optimal performance.
6. Providing 3rd level technical support for network, including root cause analysis and permanent resolution, planning and implementing maintenance, modifications and enhancements to the network.
7. Responsible for defining the operational requirements, documenting, and designing system wide requirements for Active Directory networks.
8. Assist both the Technical Architecture and Pre-Production departments in developing road map and methodology in these areas.
9. Procedures development and implementation on comprehensive hardware and software solutions necessary to support the monitoring of the various network environments.
10. Make recommendations for changes to the OA environment to maintain adequate capacity, performance and supportability.
11. Prepare documentation for all procedures for distribution to Operations & Services teams and obtain and publish performance statistics.
12. Perform technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.
13. Should be a Team Player, approachable, and an excellent technical writer.
14. Reports to Director of Office Automation & Help Desk.
Experience: BS in IT, MIS or MBA preferred, MCSE 2003 required Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT, Infrastructure design with excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills,Extensive experience with various Microsoft Technologies (installation, administration, patching, tuning)Knowledgeable with Windows 2003/2000/NT (installation and administration level)Knowledgeable with Active Directory (concepts, design, installation, administration)Knowledgeable with Internet Information Server (installation and administration level)Previous involvement in various "other-similar" technologies (eMail,Directory Services, File& Print Services,etc.)Extensive experience with Dell and HP Hardware (installation and administration level).Strong project management skills,Self motivated, Customer service oriented,Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation.Willing to travel,On-call support as required with rotation.
